UK to see more deaths than births from 2026
The UK's population growth is set to slow considerably, affecting its future makeup, as deaths will soon outnumber births. The Office for National Statistics projects more deaths than births each year starting in 2026, partly due to a significant drop in migration. This 10-year period will see deaths outnumber births by nearly half a million, with fewer children and more pensioners expected.
