Jason Dozzell's Football Record Nearly Broken After 40 Years

A long-standing English football record for youngest top-flight scorer was nearly beaten this week. Jason Dozzell, who played for Ipswich Town, set the overall record at 16 years and 57 days in 1984. Arsenal's Max Dowman recently became the Premier League's youngest scorer, aged 16 years and 73 days, on Saturday.
