European voters: 23% now back far-right
This marks a nearly fivefold increase since 1995, with support climbing sharply over the last three years. Political scientists in 31 countries found more than 23% of Europeans voted for far-right parties in recent national elections. The research, led by Matthijs Rooduijn, also shows almost 30% of Europeans now vote for anti-establishment parties.
