77 people and firms face Grenfell charges
Accountability for the Grenfell Tower fire disaster, which killed 72 people, is still years away. Metropolitan Police will send evidence files for 57 individuals and 20 companies to prosecutors by the end of September this year. A final decision on whether to bring charges is expected by June 2027, ten years after the June 2017 fire.
