Russian Jet: Six Metres From RAF Plane's Nose
Tensions rose over the Black Sea after Russian fighter aircraft approached a British surveillance mission at very close range. Britain's Ministry of Defence said two Russian jets repeatedly intercepted an unarmed RAF Rivet Joint aircraft in international airspace, with one Su-35 triggering emergency systems and disabling autopilot. Officials said a Su-27 passed within six metres of the plane’s nose during six separate manoeuvres.
