Kimi Antonelli backs FIA engine rule ban

Safety worries mattered most after drivers risked losing power and slowing dangerously after qualifying laps. Before the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA told Mercedes and Red Bull they could no longer use an MGU-K shutdown method that gave extra speed at the line. Antonelli said the system’s downside was “not so safe” after problems in Japan.
