Nearly a quarter of UK pubs losing money

Almost 25% of pubs, bars, and restaurants in the UK are currently operating at a loss, a significant increase from three months ago. Hospitality leaders, including chef Tom Kerridge, are campaigning for the government to cut VAT from 20% to 10% for the sector. They say this would help businesses struggling with rising costs and unfair tax levels compared to other European countries.
