Sir Keir Starmer Announces £50m Heating Oil Help
Households using heating oil face much higher bills, as crude prices jumped since the US-Israel-Iran conflict started. Some customers say their heating costs have doubled. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer will detail support plans on Monday, following Chancellor Rachel Reeves saying she found the money needed. Regulator Ofgem doesn't cap heating oil prices, affecting about 500,000 Northern Ireland homes, nearly two-thirds there.
