Only 75% of first class letters arrive on time

Most first class letters aren't arriving on time, with Royal Mail delivering just three-quarters of them as promised. In the year to March, only 75.7% of first class mail reached its destination on schedule, far below their 93% target. Regulator Ofcom is very concerned and fined Royal Mail £21 million last October for missing targets.
