Avalanche kills three skiers in French resort
Two British tourists and a French national died on Friday following a snowslide at Val d'Isère. The UK citizens were skiing off-piste in a guided group of five, whereas the local victim was alone. Another British member suffered minor injuries, while the instructor tested negative for drugs and alcohol. Authorities opened a manslaughter inquiry after a red weather warning was issued for the area on Thursday.
