Ahmedabad to host 2030 Commonwealth Games

Ahmedabad, Gujarat has been unanimously ratified by the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly in Glasgow as the official host city for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, marking the centenary edition 100 years after the inaugural event in Hamilton, Canada. The Games will feature 15-17 sports including athletics, swimming, table tennis, bowls, weightlifting, artistic gymnastics, netball and boxing, with venues centered around the world's largest cricket stadium, Narendra Modi Stadium. This will be India's second time hosting after Delhi 2010.
