US-China gap may reach $11 trillion

Global markets and jobs could feel the effects as the economic distance between the world’s two biggest economies is expected to grow further by 2030. Speaking on Tuesday in Hong Kong, former UN Security Council president Kishore Mahbubani said the US-China GDP gap may widen from US$6 trillion in 2020 to US$11 trillion by 2030. He put 2030 output at US$37.6 trillion for the US and US$26 trillion for China.
