Heathrow expects fewer passengers after Iran war

Holiday travel could become less busy as Heathrow expects fewer passengers because fighting in the Middle East may reduce demand. Heathrow said its latest investor report forecast a 1.1 per cent fall to 83.6 million passengers this year, despite growth earlier in 2026. Up to the end of May, passenger numbers rose 0.7 per cent to 32.8 million.
