Apple avoided US tariffs after agreeing to use Intel chips

Apple got an exemption from 100% US tariffs on semiconductors last year after promising to invest more in America. The Trump administration reportedly offered the tariff exemption if Apple invested in Intel, a struggling US chip maker. Apple will now have Intel make chips for some Mac laptops and iPhones.
