US airstrikes kill 14 in Iran as ceasefire talks collapse

Following the extension of a ceasefire last month, the most intense exchange of fire occurred when America launched airstrikes in Iran, killing at least 14 people, which prompted Iran to strike nations in the Gulf. After vessels in the Strait of Hormuz were attacked by Iran, President Donald Trump declared the agreement to be "over". US military stated its strikes hit about 90 targets, aiming to degrade Iran's ability to threaten global oil and gas shipping.
