20,980 people got melanoma in UK

The deadliest skin cancer is affecting more people in the UK, with diagnoses now above 20,000 annually. Cancer Research UK reported 20,980 new melanoma cases in 2022, a record number for this form. This comes as the UK expects a bank holiday heatwave, with temperatures potentially reaching 33C, and most cases can be avoided.
