FIFA clears ref over 'White power' hand gesture
Football's governing body, FIFA, has cleared an official after a controversial hand gesture caught on camera during a World Cup match broadcast. Support video assistant referee Shaun Evans denied intentionally making what some interpreted as a 'White power' symbol, calling it an "involuntary, subconscious twitch". FIFA's Disciplinary Committee found no evidence of rule breaches, noting Evans' statement that he was unaware he had done it.
