Tata Steel workers are on 'light duties' because of cheap imports

Cheap imported steel is flooding the UK market, cutting demand and prices for domestic producers like Tata Steel. Workers at their Llanwern plant are now on lighter duties due to production lines not running constantly. The UK government said it aims to balance protecting local steel with maintaining supply, but a review of import quotas could take 12 months.
