Labour changes worker rights pledge after opposition
Labour Party altered its plan for immediate unfair dismissal protection. Workers will now gain this right after six months, not immediately as previously pledged. Business Secretary Kyle says this doesn't violate Labour's promises, but some disagree. Opposition in the House of Lords forced the change to ensure the Employment Rights Bill's approval. Union Unite criticizes the revised bill. Some Labour members call the change a betrayal.
