Southern England expects 33C temperatures and no widespread rain for another week

Large areas of England are approaching a month without any significant rainfall, and some locations have registered no more than 0% of their typical July precipitation. High pressure will keep most areas largely dry for at least another week, with southern England seeing highs of up to 33C. The persistent arid conditions heighten the danger of wildfires and impact more than eight million homes subject to hosepipe restrictions.
