Youth group protests social media ban for under-16s
Proposed age restrictions on social media platforms could unfairly penalise young people, according to protesters. The group Mad Youth Organise demonstrated on Friday, urging ministers to address Big Tech's power instead of a ban for under-16s, as a consultation closes next week. They placed bright pink telephones outside government and Meta offices, playing messages from young people.
