Jet2 pilot's heart attack forces emergency plane landing
A Jet2 air service encountered considerable hold-ups when its pilot reportedly experienced a cardiac arrest at an altitude of 30,000 feet. The air journey designated LS1266, originating in Tenerife and bound for Birmingham, performed an unscheduled touchdown in Porto, Portugal, at 2:11 AM on Friday. A maximum of 220 travelers ended up marooned for more than 13 hours, with the airline citing the prohibitive expense of lodging.
