New US green card rule could block some immigrants' return
The new US green card policy could make it difficult for some immigrants to return after leaving the country. On Friday, US Citizenship and Immigration Services declared that the majority of individuals pursuing permanent residency are now required to submit their applications while located outside the United States. This closes a loophole that allowed temporary visitors to apply while still in the country.
