Fresh Heavy Rain Warning Issued as Hundreds of Flood Alerts Hit UK

The UK Met Office has issued a new yellow weather warning for heavy rain across southwest England and much of South Wales, lasting from Monday afternoon until midnight. More than 200 flood alerts and 88 flood warnings are already in place, mainly in southwest England and the Midlands. Forecasters say the affected regions have seen rain every day in 2026 so far, with January rainfall about 50% above average. Sky News
