King Charles to address US Congress today
Britain's King Charles III becomes only the second British monarch to address a joint meeting of the US Congress later today. The King will speak at 3pm Washington time on the 250th anniversary of American independence, with Vice President JD Vance and Speaker Mike Johnson on the dais. He is expected to reference Saturday's shooting at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and reaffirm UK-US ties strained by Trump's war on Iran.
