Woman in her 30s stabbed in neck during unprovoked Birmingham attack

A woman in her 30s is in a critical condition after being stabbed in the neck during what police described as an unprovoked attack in Birmingham city centre. The incident happened around 9 pm on Friday near Smallbrook Queensway. A man in his 20s was arrested shortly afterwards and remains in custody. Police said they are not seeking anyone else and have appealed for witnesses as investigations continue.
