Twenty-seven dead and eight seriously hurt in Bangkok bar fire
The massive blaze tore through a bar in Bangkok's Chatuchak district late on Sunday, starting near the stage and quickly spreading. Firefighters found most of the victims' bodies in a bathroom where they had tried to hide from the smoke and flames. Preliminary checks suggest the cause may have been an electrical short circuit in an air conditioner, but no official reason has been confirmed.
