What is Remembrance Sunday about ?

Remembrance Sunday commemorates British and Commonwealth military personnel who died in wars, held annually on the second Sunday in November nearest to Armistice Day. Originally established to mark World War One's end, the tradition evolved to honour all conflicts after World War Two. The ceremony features two minutes of silence at 11am, red poppy symbolism, and wreath-laying at the Cenotaph in London led by the King.
