England: Heatwave leaves 20,000 without water in southeast
Hot weather and a dry spring have disrupted daily life in parts of England. Thousands of households in southeast England were left without water or low pressure as demand rose during a record-breaking heatwave this week and below-average rainfall in March and April left reservoirs under strain, according to the Environment Agency. At its peak, over 20,000 people were affected, including around 8,000 in Whitstable.
