Fishing kills thousands of UK marine animals every year
Thousands of protected marine animals like whales and dolphins are dying each year because of fishing boats in UK waters. A new report, the first of its kind, reveals fishing vessels accidentally catch and kill these creatures as 'bycatch'. Conservation groups say this 'shocking' death toll is likely far higher as most UK fishing boats aren't monitored.
