200 Russian drones attack Ukraine in daylight
Air raid alerts sounded across Ukraine, and explosions from air defences were heard in Kyiv as a major assault began. Russia launched a significant daytime drone attack on Wednesday, sending approximately 200 Shahed-type unmanned drones after 9am UK time. President Zelensky warned of further waves, stating Russia targets railway infrastructure and civilian sites.
