Reform UK keeps candidate after racist remark
Reform UK has refused to sack Hampshire mayoral candidate Chris Parry, a retired Navy rear admiral, after he told Justice Secretary David Lammy to 'go home to the Caribbean' where his 'loyalties lie' in February. Parry remains unrepentant, telling Talk TV to check the context while refusing to confirm if Lammy's primary loyalty is to Britain. Reform MP Danny Kruger defended Parry as a distinguished public servant, claiming he needed more context. Labour has condemned the remarks as racist and called for Parry's removal, with party chair Anna Turley stating no context can excuse such comments.
