USCIS clarifies Trump’s $100,000 H1B visa fee applies broadly to new petitions
According to reports, U.S. immigration authorities have clarified that nearly all new H1B visa petitions filed on or after September 21, 2025, will be subject to a $100,000 fee under President Trump’s recent executive proclamation. The fee applies to beneficiaries outside the U.S. without a valid H1B visa and to petitions requesting consular notification or status changes.
