British Army drops aid for island virus patient
A British national on a remote island needed urgent help as oxygen supplies were critically low due to suspected hantavirus. Six paratroopers and medical staff from 16 Air Assault Brigade parachuted onto Tristan da Cunha, a British overseas territory, delivering vital equipment. The patient had disembarked from the MV Hondius cruise ship, where a hantavirus outbreak previously killed three people.
