EasyJet in talks after rejecting £4.9bn takeover bid

EasyJet has opened talks with US firm Castlelake, despite rejecting its fourth takeover offer of £4.9bn as too low. The airline's board will give Castlelake access to some financial details, hoping it will lead to a better proposal. Castlelake now has until 5pm on 5 July to improve its 650p-a-share offer or withdraw.
