Greece to ban under 15s from social media
Children’s screen time could fall as access to popular apps is restricted. Greece’s prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the ban will start on 1 January 2027, blaming anxiety, sleep problems and addictive platforms. Officials say a state app may block sites like TikTok and Instagram, while data shows 75% of young users are primary-school age.
