Bedford Hospital MRI scanners down due to heat

Bedford Hospital MRI scanners down due to heat

Some MRI scanners at Bedford South Wing Hospital are not working because old cooling systems can't cope with the current heat and humidity. The hospital trust is postponing appointments and contacting affected patients to reschedule them once the situation improves. Emergency MRI scans will take place at other sites, including the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.
