Kneecap Rapper's Terrorism Charge Appeal Heard in High Court

The appeal case regarding terrorism charges against Kneecap rapper Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, who performs as Mo Chara, began at the High Court today. The UK government is appealing a September 2025 decision to dismiss the charge against Ó hAnnaidh, who was accused of displaying a flag supporting Hezbollah at a November 2024 gig in London. Supporters gathered outside the court as the Crown Prosecution Service argues the charge was brought unlawfully.
