Ukrainian slider banned for helmet showing 20 killed athletes
Vladyslav Heraskevych was barred from the Milan-Cortina Games after refusing to remove protective gear depicting sportspeople killed during the Russian invasion. The slider’s "helmet of remembrance" displays images of more than 20 victims, including friends and young athletes such as an 11-year-old rhythmic gymnast. Officials rejected his appeal on Friday, confirming he is excluded from the men's skeleton event following his decision to keep the tribute.
