Hutch loses Dublin parliament seat bid badly

A notorious crime boss failed to win his way into Ireland's parliament despite anti-immigration campaigning. Gerry Hutch finished fourth in Friday's Dublin Central byelection, securing just 11.3% of first preference votes. The 63-year-old lost to Social Democrat Daniel Ennis, who took 12,050 votes in the final count.
