Facebook, Messenger down for users worldwide

Users across the world were locked out of Facebook and Messenger this afternoon during a huge outage. Meta, the firm that owns the apps, has stated that its technical staff are probing the difficulties, which commenced around 2pm UK time. Some users also reported issues with Instagram, and many were automatically logged out of their accounts.
