Trump orders Navy to shoot mine-laying boats

Donald Trump ordered the US Navy to "shoot and kill" any boats laying mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Posting on Truth Social, the president said "there is to be no hesitation" and tripled the level of minesweeper activity in the waterway. The order follows Iran's capture of two cargo vessels on Wednesday and a fresh US interdiction of the sanctioned tanker Majestic X in the Indian Ocean.
