England's senior doctors vote on strike action
Senior doctors across England are considering strike action after a government pay offer of 3.5 per cent. The British Medical Association began an eight-week ballot on Monday for consultants and specialist, associate specialist and specialty (SAS) doctors. They are seeking increased protected time for innovation and mentoring, reduced working hours, and improved recognition for demanding out-of-hours shifts.
