ChatGPT now works in your car with Apple CarPlay

Drivers can now access OpenAI's ChatGPT directly from their vehicle's dashboard, allowing them to ask questions and make requests by voice. This functionality was introduced with Apple's iOS 26.4 update last week, adding a new CarPlay category for such voice-based apps. You'll need an iPhone running iOS 26.4 or newer, and Apple states chatbot apps should not show text or imagery.
