Three dead, ship passengers held onboard until Canary Islands
Three people have died, and a British man is hospitalised after a suspected hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius. Cape Verde authorities refused disembarkation, so non-symptomatic passengers and crew must stay on board. The vessel will travel 900 miles northeast to the Canary Islands for an assessment by Spanish officials.
