Nine UK banks offered rival cyber AI tool

Nine major UK banks are getting access to a new cyber security AI tool from OpenAI, after being blocked from a rival one. OpenAI offered its GPT-5.5 Cyber tool because Anthropic's Claude Mythos, which finds system weaknesses, wasn't available to them. NatWest and Santander already possess access, whereas Lloyds, HSBC, and Nationwide are listed among the banks that will be receiving it.
