NHS app to use AI for directing patients to best care
The NHS will start using artificial intelligence on its app to guide patients to suitable services, aiming to reduce the number queueing for GP appointments. The new system will triage patients, suggesting GP visits, pharmacies, or A&E depending on their condition. The update is projected to be rolled out to 200,000 patients within the next year, with full availability anticipated by April 2028.
