Nissan Firm Ends UK Electric Parts Project

Fewer electric car parts will now be made in Britain after weaker European demand hurt Nissan's battery vehicle business. JATCO, a Nissan company, dropped plans on Sunday for a Sunderland site that would have built motor, inverter and reducer systems for electric vehicles. Announced in January 2025, the project carried a £48.7 million investment and yearly output capacity of 340,000 units.
