US plans to seize Iranian oil tankers in Gulf
Shipping costs and oil prices could climb further if the US follows through on the plan. The US military is preparing to board Iran-linked oil tankers and seize commercial ships in international waters, the Wall Street Journal reported Saturday. The plan aims to push Tehran into reopening the Strait and making nuclear concessions. Iran calls the blockade a ceasefire violation.
