Microsoft may put China's DeepSeek inside Copilot

Running AI agents has become so costly that Microsoft is weighing a Chinese model, despite the security worries that come with it. Axios reported last week that Microsoft is testing DeepSeek's latest model to power a cheaper tier of Copilot Cowork, its workplace AI assistant. It's still only an evaluation, and Microsoft says any version would run inside its own cloud with extra safeguards.
